Happy 4th of July Weekend. We will have some major events in Augusta.
Downtown Augusta - RiverBlast
You and the kids will have tons of fun and it won't bleed your
pocketbook dry. RiverBlast is a fun-filled family-oriented event
held every 4th of July in downtown Augusta. The greatest thing about
RiverBlast is admission, rides, fireworks, entertainment, and games
are all free. Make sure to bring a few dollars to partake in some of
the tasty treats the vendors will be selling. .
Burgers, hotdogs, lemonade, and more will temp your taste buds and
satisfy your hunger
The Eighth Street Stage will feature local performers including
Paraphenalian, Jessica King, Jay Randall (newly signed to Sony Records),
Steel Dream, Smooth Expression, and local favorite, Eryn Eubanks and the
Family Fold.
The Jessye Norman Amphitheater at Riverwalk, feature the Jerusalem
Sounds, Scott Ventison, followed by a presentation by Mayor Deke
Copenhaver, and a rousing patriotic performance from the Fort Gordon
Signal Corps Band.
The NBC Augusta RiverBlast Car Show, in cooperation with The CSRA Road
Angels, will take place from 11:00 am to 2:00pm at Ninth Street and
Reynolds Street behind the NBC Augusta building. For more information

Fireworks will start at 9:30pm at the Fifth Street Bridge. This year
promises to the biggest fireworks show in Augusta's history! We are
told to expect a grander, more intense fireworks display that will
include a tribute to Augusta native, James Brown. NBC Augusta will
broadcast live from the event, and the soundtrack to the fireworks
display will be simulcast on 104.3 WBBQ FM, so make sure to bring
your radio. The NBC Augusta tent at the Augusta Commons will be
providing patriotic fans with 3-D fireworks viewers to enhance your
viewing of this spectacular display.
Star Spangled Concert
The Riverwalk Series presents the 13th
annual Star Spangled Concert tomorrow at St. Paul's
Church - Reynolds Street at Sixth on the Riverwalk Downtown Augusta
preceding Augusta's Riverwalk fireworks display. The concert by the
80 member Independence Day Chorus & Orchestra begins at 8:00 pm at
historic St. Paul's Church, 6th & Reynolds in downtown Augusta.
Catered BBQ & fireworks afterwards.
Columbia County's 15th
Annual 4th of July Celebration
Patriots Park 4:00PM till Dark
Actives include Inflatable's & Rides, Live Entertainment, Food
Vendors, Children's Entertainment and Much, Much, More.
The event will conclude with the largest Firework Display in
Columbia County.
